Music That's Keeping me Going #2

Some more music that is keeping me going...

David Bowie – ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’
Along with most people, with the news of David Bowie's passing earlier this year, I went on a huge David Bowie listening binge. However, there is one album that I consistently come back to. There is a reason why ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’ is often regarded as one of his greatest albums, it contains some of his best singles, ‘Starman’ and ‘Ziggy Stardust’ but every song on the album has its own unique feel, forging on of the most seminal concept albums of all time.
Favourite Songs: ‘Five Years’, ‘Soul Love’, ‘Moonage Daydream’

Jack Garratt – 'Phase'
‘Phase’ is an extremely varied album that changes genre from song to song. Jack Garratt manages to demonstrate his creative production skills, by perfectly blending his raw, emotional lyrics with electronic music and the scale of the album grows larger and larger from one song to the next.
Favourite Songs – ‘Breathe Life’, ‘Weathered’, ‘The Love You’re Given’

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – ‘Nonagon Infinity’
‘Nonagon Infinity’ is designed to be listened to loud and on repeat. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard created a unique album that perfectly loops on itself. Each track transition is carefully woven and it culminates in an incredible timeless musical journey. It is incredibly easy to simply hit play on the album and before you know it you have already listened to ‘Nonagon Infinity’ three times.
Favourite Songs: ‘Robot Stop’, ‘Gamma Knife’, ‘Mr Beat’

The Avalanches – 'Wildflower'
Sixteen years after their initial release, ‘Since I Left You’, The Avalanches have truly outdone themselves with ‘Wildflower’. The album is extremely easy to listen to and contains a number of standout tracks, once again consisting of a number of samples carefully sewn tougher. It is also an album that works very well listening to it on shuffle.
Favourite Songs: ‘Because I’m Me’, ‘If I was a Folkstar’, ‘Wozard of Iz’, ‘Stepkids’
